Location
Hybrid role based in Toronto, with 2 days per week in the office. Remote work for the remaining days.
About the role
We're seeking a marketing leader with experience at a software start-up. As Marketing Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our brand, driving user acquisition, and expanding our reach to farmers. This position reports directly to the CEO and involves building and executing comprehensive marketing strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a holistic marketing strategy, encompassing both online, and offline, with emphasis on digital marketing
- Create, launch, and optimize paid ad campaigns across platforms such as Meta
- Including filming, screen recording, and use AI to create short-form video from scripts provided by sales and executive leadership
- Build relationships with farming and agriculture commodity trading influencers to help farmers learn about SimpleHedge
- Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar, to measure ROI and iterate on campaigns for continuous improvement.
- Manage marketing budgets, vendor relationships, and a small team (with potential to grow), focusing on high-impact activities without hands-on video production (which will be handled by a separate hire).
- Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all channels, while adapting to the unique needs of our agricultural user base.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading marketing at a software startup, with at least 2 years in a leadership role driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing, ad campaign management, and organic growth tactics, with a track record of delivering measurable results.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with experience collaborating across teams.
- Familiarity with fintech is preferred but not required.
